This gadget can take the internet connection from your phone, and turn it into an 802.11b/g network that you can connect to. If there are others around that you don’t want stealing your bytes, then the 64/128bit encryption should be enough to keep them secure. The battery provides full three hours to work
But its compatibility is limited to certain Sprint and Verizon products. They both have very strong 3G networks, but they don’t always have the best coverage area. Still, if you’ve got a Sprint or Verizon phone, this would be a lifesaver.

HDD vs SSD
This video shows boot time comparison for two same notebooks (Sony TZ91) with different type of storage drives.
Left notebook quipped with a standart HDD 200GB 5400RPM
And right - with SSD (Solid State Drive)
You can see the difference: 12 seconds. It not a big time, but SSD also has many other advantages: very low power consumption (approximately 1 watt), no moving parts => no noise, lower weight and size.
P.S. But keep in mind, SDD still expensive - about 8$ per GB.
Making PCs with small 20-40GB SSD as system drive with ur OS, working applications, etc and big terabyte HDD drive with your media - it's a good idea for solivng problem with high price.

Accelerometer in the Nokia N95
An interesting video, showing how work accelerometer in the Nokia N95.
It is unclear why this opportunity was in the shadows and why Nokia have not fully integrated it with the phone yet.
Many applications can be writen, used this feature. Beginnig from games, finishin useful utilites.
For example, turn off ring (btw, want's cool ringtones? :), when phone taked.
But I'm only known RotateMe 2.0, which adds the functionality a la iPhone - will rotate the screen depending on the orientation of your phone.

Design student creates innovative guiding cane for blind

For blind people, mobility is closely connected with stress. They have to memorize their routes and rely on hearing to maneuver through their surroundings. During storms or when in noisy environments, orientation can become difficult, or even impossible. MYGO is an electronic guide dog that communicates information about the environment directly to users. The system offers permanent location identification and can provide full scene recognition in real time. Users interact with the device through the grip, and auditory feedback is transmitted through a head set. MYGO is powered by a hub motor in the wheel, so it doesn’t exhaust users. With a sleek, contemporary design that prevents users from feeling stigmatized and a functionality that gives people back their spontaneity, MYGO is more than a guide—it’s a sightseeing partner.
